Through Twitter, I have learned that information travels rapidly and travels everywhere. I have also learned that you have to be very careful when using social apps with your students. Twitter is one of those social apps that does not have much security and therefore, anything can happen on there. It ideally would not be used with younger kids. The main issue I have found with Twitter is that it is not meant for educational purposes, so there can be a lot of distracting things on it. While working on the web page design, I found myself learning ALOT. I have never used weebly before so it was a bit tricky but became easier as I got used to it! This website would be extremely helpful when communicating with parents if I was a teacher, but also can be useful as a college student when given creative assignments. I had a bit of trouble trying to find classroom pages because I feel like most classroom's just hand out newsletters for each class or send out emails. Here is one of the websites I found: https://sites.google.com/a/abschools.org/gateskokkinos/class-information .  This is for a second grade classroom. On this website I found different curriculum sites and other classroom information. These links have what the class is learning, as well as other websites parents can use for supplementary material. It has the classroom rules as well as the list of Specials the classroom has and what day they have them, for example this classroom visits P.E. on Monday's, music on Wednesday's and visits the Library on Thursday's. For my first ILP, I chose to do an infographic on classroom rules. For this, I used Canva. This would ideally be laminated and displayed in a central area so that the entire classroom may view it. I chose these colors because they are bright and decided to add cute, little clip art that adds a childlike appeal to it. The rules are simple and sweet which make it easy for kids to understand.

I think that Blogs and Wikis are the most useful in the classroom setting because they seem to be the most professional and allow students to interact with one another in the safest manner. Both of these can be easily monitored and edited by the school teacher. I think that Twitter is the one that is the least useful. Although students can use this to follow researchers, scientists and other famous figures; there are a lot of non professional people on Twitter as well. It is one of the harder tools to monitor and this site also can be a platform for cyberbullying. I was not in class on Monday due to illness so I am not sure of what Web 2.0 tools were discussed but I found this one online. This is Story Bird ( http://storybird.com/ ). This site is used to tell fun, interesting stories in a virtual sense. You can also include artwork. Topic: Elementary School Language Arts Website One: ABCya! Hyperlink:  http://www.abcya.com/ The reason as to why I chose this website is because it is extremely organized and a lot of fun! It is organized by grade level and each grade level includes up to forty games for language arts. It also includes games that can be categorized by Holiday which makes lessons plans even more fun for those special times of the year. The website also includes categories for families and teachers. It was created in 2018 and the links are extremely functional. The intended audience includes all elementary school grades and they have been accredited by The New York Times, Apple, USA Today, Parents Magazine and the Scholastic Company. There are no graphic or grammar errors in any of the games.The website exists to supplement learning material in classes and to give kids a way to learn and refine new skills in a fun way. Normally through Twitter, I just interact with my friends. However, for this course I have mostly been interacting with the education research accounts and retweeting their material. I've found it beneficial because it has increased my knowledge in certain areas and has opened my eyes as to what is going on in the education field. I believe Twitter will help me in my future career by keeping me up to date on current events. The digital divide affects student success in schools by limiting the options that a lot of children have. It isn't fair for a child to be able to use the internet for a research project when another kid in that same class has to rent books from the library and use those. Also, because one child will have more experience with technology than the other, it will be easier for them to find a job in the work industry. The ELA technology standards that I feel most prepared to teach with my prior knowledge are all those that have to do with literature and media. I have used technology with literature many times, including listening to an audiotape while in a classroom setting. I also have experience with digital textbooks and some experience with an interactive white board. The things that require more learning on my part are those that have to do with integrating media into different formats or adding references to the footnote of a page. I find those more advanced than the other topics. For example, I had trouble during the last skill check when we had to zip a file, I had never done so before and needed to look up instructions to help me.  With my students, I would like to use mostly websites rather than actual softwares.
